I've been rewatching Hornblower again recently and...oh. Oh. I'd forgotten how much I love Captain Pellew. I always think of him as Captain even though later he's Admiral.

I know it's so sappy, but there are few scenes in TV that seem to touch me as much at the one in Loyalty:

I am currently experiencing a most overwhelming desire to watch Hornblower. Hmmm. Intriguing.

Why is there so little Hornblower fic that focuses on Pellew? I'm not necessarily talking about the slash, although...well, you know me. But it seems like all the fanfic in the fandom is about Hornblower, Kennedy and Bush, in any and all permutations, which is fine, but...I want Pellew!
